A classic early 20th-century creamy gin fizz that balances bright citrus acidity with a soft, lacteal roundness. Its signature cloud-like texture comes from the combined use of egg white and light cream, creating an airy yet silky drink that remains surprisingly refreshing.
Preparation Method
Add gin, fresh lemon juice, powdered sugar, light cream, and egg white to a shaker. Dry shake vigorously without ice to fully emulsify and build structure. Add ice and shake again until well chilled. Strain into a chilled highball glass. Top gently with carbonated water, pouring through the foam or along the inside of the glass to lift the creamy head. Serve immediately.
