
Overview
The Gin Julep applies the julep format to gin, replacing whiskey warmth with juniper, citrus, and botanical lift. The Julep Cup keeps the drink icy while mint amplifies the fresh herbal character.
Preparation Method
Add sugar syrup and mint to a julep cup. Press the mint gently to release oils. Add gin and fill the cup with crushed ice. Stir until very cold and frosted. Mound crushed ice on top, finish with the mint sprig as the garnish, and serve immediately.
