The Gin Daisy is a classic shaken sour that combines gin, fresh lemon juice, and light sweetness, accented by a touch of grenadine for color and subtle fruit depth. Bright, tart, and gently rounded, it sits between a traditional gin sour and early pre-Prohibition cocktail styles.
Preparation Method
Add the gin, fresh lemon juice, sugar, and grenadine to a shaker filled with ice. Shake until well chilled. Strain into an old fashioned glass filled with fresh ice. Express a lemon peel over the drink to release the citrus oils, then discard the peel. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
