Orange Scented Hot Chocolate is a non-alcoholic winter drink made by steeping orange peel into rich hot chocolate. Espresso deepens the cocoa flavor without turning the drink into coffee, while nutmeg adds a quiet spice note.
Preparation Method
Combine milk, chopped chocolate, orange peel, instant espresso, and nutmeg in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Stir until the chocolate melts, then bring just to a simmer. Remove from the heat and whisk until frothy. Repeat the gentle heating and whisking once more, discard the orange peel, and pour into warm coffee mugs.
