The Miami Vice is a layered frozen cocktail that combines two tropical classics in a single glass: a Piña Colada and a Strawberry Daiquiri. Built from fresh ingredients rather than premixed bases, it delivers a balanced interplay of creamy coconut-pineapple richness and bright strawberry acidity, held together by a stable, slushy texture.
Preparation Method
Prepare the Piña Colada blend by blending ice with pineapple juice, cream of coconut, and 1¼ oz of white rum until thick and smooth. Keep frozen. Prepare the Strawberry Daiquiri blend by blending ice with fresh strawberries, fresh lime juice, sugar syrup, and 1¼ oz of white rum until thick and smooth. While both blends are still frozen, carefully pour the Piña Colada blend into the hurricane glass first, forming the base layer. Gently layer the Strawberry Daiquiri blend on top, taking care to preserve clean separation between the two layers. Serve immediately without stirring.
