Preparation Method
In a saucepan over low heat, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and salt until smooth. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly, and cook gently until the mixture thickens slightly and reaches 160 °F (70 °C). Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla, and allow to cool completely. Transfer to a punch bowl, chill thoroughly, and serve cold.
