The Castillian Hot Chocolate is a luxurious Spanish-style drinking chocolate, deeply rich and naturally thickened with cornstarch for a velvety texture. Intense cocoa depth and gentle sweetness make it a warm, comforting beverage perfect for cold days or indulgent evenings.
Preparation Method
Sift cocoa powder and sugar into a medium saucepan. Dissolve the cornstarch in water, then stir it into the cocoa mixture until a smooth paste forms. Begin heating gently while whisking, and slowly pour in the milk. Continue whisking as the mixture reaches a simmer. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until glossy, thick, and perfectly smooth. Serve steaming hot in a coffee mug. Makes six servings.
