The Whiskey Julep broadens the Mint Julep idea beyond bourbon by using whiskey as the base. It keeps the classic spirit-mint-sugar-crushed ice formula while allowing the whiskey style to shape the final profile.
Preparation Method
Add sugar syrup and mint to a julep cup. Press gently to release mint aroma. Add whiskey and fill the cup with crushed ice. Stir until the cup becomes frosty. Add more crushed ice to form a dome, finish with the mint sprig as the garnish, and serve cold.
