Frequently Asked Questions about Ingredient Search

How does the "Find Your Cocktail" tool work?

Simply type the name of the ingredients you have into the search bar. As you select ingredients, the tool will automatically search for cocktails you can make. It provides two lists: "Perfect Matches" (cocktails using only your selected ingredients) and "Other Cocktails Using Your Ingredients" (recipes that use some of your ingredients but might require others).

What if I only have a few ingredients?

No problem! The tool is designed to work whether you have a fully stocked bar or just a few basic items. If you only have a few, you'll likely see more results in the "Other Cocktails" section, giving you inspiration for future purchases.

Can I select multiple ingredients?

Yes, you can select as many ingredients as you like! The more ingredients you add, the more precise and varied your cocktail results will be.

How do I remove an ingredient I've selected?

You can remove a selected ingredient by clicking the "x" icon on its chip, or by unchecking the checkbox next to its name in the suggestion list.

Why do some cocktails appear in "Other Cocktails" if I have all the ingredients?

The "Perfect Matches" section strictly shows cocktails that *only* require the ingredients you've selected. "Other Cocktails" includes recipes where your selected ingredients are *part* of the recipe, but it may also list additional ingredients you don't have.

Where can I find information about individual cocktail ingredients?

To deepen your knowledge of ingredients, visit our "Ingredients" section. There you will find details on every single component of your favorite drinks. (The link to this section is in the navigation bar).

Is there a glossary for cocktail technical terms?

Yes. We are preparing a dedicated learning section for cocktail terms, tools, and techniques; in the meantime, core explanations are being folded directly into the recipe and ingredient pages.
